About TNPSC Photo Compressor

What the tool does

TNPSC Photo Compressor is a free browser tool that prepares the photograph and signature for Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) online applications. It crops and resizes your photo to 130 × 170 px and 20–50 KB, prints your name and photography date in a 55 px strip below the portrait, and resizes your signature to 230 × 75 px and 10–20 KB.

Every file is saved as a real JPEG. For other forms, Custom size lets you set your own width, height and file size limit.

Who it is for

Candidates applying for TNPSC recruitments such as Group IV and Group II / IIA, and anyone whose application form rejects a photo or signature because of its size, dimensions or format.

Where the presets come from

Each preset follows the image instructions in a specific TNPSC notice:

• Group IV · 11/2026 (pp. 24–25)
• Group II / IIA · 07/2026 (pp. 23–24)

Sources were last checked on 5 November 2026. When a new notification changes the image rules, the presets and the size guide are updated to match.

How the checks work

Before you download, the tool measures the pixel dimensions, file size and format of the result. It cannot judge what the image shows. Check the background, your face, the date the photo was taken and your signature against your notice before you apply.

Private by design

Your images, name and photography date are processed in your browser and are never uploaded. Read the privacy policy for details.

Free to use

The tool is free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many images you prepare.

Independent service

TNPSC Photo Compressor is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by TNPSC or the Government of Tamil Nadu. TNPSC decides whether an application meets its requirements.
