Fix TNPSC photo and signature upload problems
Find out what to check when a TNPSC photo or signature fails to upload. Fix the format, pixel dimensions, file size or name strip.

The form says the format is wrong
Export a JPEG using the tool. Changing the file extension on a PNG or HEIC does not convert the image.
The file is too small or too large
Compare the downloaded file with both limits in your notice. The listed exam presets require 20–50 KB for photographs and 10–20 KB for signatures.
The dimensions do not match
Check that you selected the right notice and document type. If your form specifies different dimensions, enter its width, height and maximum size in Custom size.
The portrait or name strip was cut off
Zoom out and move the image in the crop preview. If the photo already has the name and date, keep the whole strip visible. Check the portrait and all text at the output size.
You cannot find the download
On Android, look in your browser’s downloads or the Downloads folder. On iPhone, look in Files. If you see a preview, use Share and Save to Files.
The portal still rejects the file
Check the size guide against your notice, then contact the official TNPSC portal for problems specific to your application.
